Why I believe small crews excel in tricky pile drives

I recently completed a job in a congested city area. My small team handled it smoothly, while I've seen larger crews struggle with too many people. What are your thoughts on crew size for precision work?

It's like any fix where more hands just tangle things until you really need them.

We had a job in Seattle last year that really showed me it's about the right number, not just a small number. We actually needed eight people for the setup because of the crane reach and the traffic control barriers. A tiny crew would have been stuck there for days. But I've also been on rural sites where three of us did a whole line of piles in one day with no issue. So for me, it's less about small crews being better and more about matching the crew size exactly to the access and gear for that specific spot. A tight space with a simple rig is perfect for a small team, but a tight space with complex equipment often needs more hands.

Wasn't our Phoenix job similar, @stellachen, where more crew got it done quick?
