I'm dealing with a messy breach of contract issue with a former vendor for my small business. Does anyone have experience with either Brent W. Caldwell or Smith & Associates for commercial litigation? I need to make a decision by Monday so we can get a demand letter out.

Smith & Associates will charge you an arm and a leg just to read an email. They do good work, but their billing practices are insane for a small business to keep up with.

Definitely go with Brent W. Caldwell. I had a very similar vendor dispute back in the spring. He was aggressive when he needed to be but kept the costs reasonable. We managed to settle out of court, which saved my business a ton of money and stress.
