Can we talk about switching from manual tile cutters to wet saws?

I remember how tricky it was to get clean breaks with the old hand tools. Now, using a wet saw feels like cheating, but it sure saves time and mess.

Prefer the old hand tools for most straight cuts, honestly. They give you a feel for the tile that a wet saw just can't match. Remember trying to notch a tile around a pipe? With a manual cutter, you can score and snap it clean without water spray everywhere. Why add the hassle of setting up a water tank and dealing with a wet mess? Sometimes the slower way lets you catch mistakes before they happen. Wet saws are great for bulk work, but for detail, hand tools still win.

But does it actually make a better finished cut? A good wet saw leaves a clean edge too, and most folks wouldn't notice a difference once the grout goes in. Seems like more of a personal preference thing than a real quality issue.

My last wet saw attempt looked like a toddler with safety scissors, so what do I know?
