A buddy in Seattle showed me his AI music generator setup and I kind of hate how good it sounds

He fed it a few seconds of humming with a broken mic and it spat out a full orchestral track in like 20 minutes. I always thought AI music would sound robotic and hollow, but this thing had actual dynamics and emotion in it. Has anyone else run into a tool that changed your mind about what AI can do creatively?

Caught my roommate doing this last week and it was disturbingly good.

Wait... a BROKEN MIC and it still came out that good? That's wild. I figured those tools would need clean samples to work with.

Last month a friend showed me Suno v3 and I honestly think it ruins the whole point of making music. He generated a whole "90s grunge" track with fake lyrics about depression and it sounded exactly like a real band but completely hollow when you listen twice. There's no struggle in it, no bad takes that make the good ones special, no human moment where a guitarist messes up but it sounds cool anyway. AI music is like looking at a perfect drawing but knowing a machine made it, the emotion disappears once you know the backstory. Doesn't the magic come from knowing someone actually felt that thing they created?
