AI writing tool saved me 3 hours on a newsletter draft

I was spending like 5 hours every Sunday putting together my weekly email list for my little art business in Austin, and it was killing my weekend. I tried using ChatGPT to write the whole thing but it sounded way too robotic, so I started using it just for the subject lines and intro hook instead. Now I give it my bullet points and it rewrites them into short, punchy teasers that actually sound like me. Has anyone else found a good balance between AI help and keeping your own voice in content?

Does the AI ever suggest completely wrong info about your art materials or processes?

Actually I gotta push back on this one pretty hard because I think it does more good than harm most of the time. The AI gets stuff wrong sure but so do humans when you ask them about specific art supplies or techniques. I've had it suggest mixing acrylic paint with oil which is obviously bad but if you know basic art rules you catch that immediately. What I notice is people blame the AI for not being a mind reader but they don't give it the right details about what they're trying to do. You tell it "I'm using cheap student grade watercolor paper" instead of just "watercolor paper" and suddenly its advice gets way more practical. The real problem is people expect perfect answers from a tool that works off patterns not experience.
