Dropped $150 on an AI resume builder that just spat out generic junk

It promised to tailor my resume for specific jobs but it only swapped keywords. Has anyone found an AI tool that actually writes decent bullet points instead of buzzword soup?

Had a friend pay $200 for one that just added "synergized" to every bullet point lol.

Bunch of generic junk" is about right. I tried one of those services last year and got the same result. Grace_gonzalez46 is spot on with the "synergized" joke because that's basically what mine did too. What actually worked for me was taking the time to write my own bullet points but then running them through a free tool like Grammarly to clean up the wording. It caught the awkward phrases and made everything sound more natural. I also found that looking at real job postings for my field helped me figure out what keywords actually mattered instead of just guessing.

Yo wait, Grammarly actually rewrites stuff or just fixes grammar? I thought it only catches spelling and punctuation stuff.
