Fixed my AI's habit of making up details
I built a small AI tool to help with research. For weeks, it would invent facts and cite sources that didn't exist. I checked the training data and found it was too broad. By narrowing the focus and adding fact-checking steps, the outputs improved. Now it sticks to verified information most of the time. It's not perfect, but it's a step forward. At least I can trust it a bit more.

Changed my mind about how easy this problem was.

Feel that. It's easy to call something simple from the outside. But once you're in it, the hard stuff hits you. Those little things you didn't think about become big deals. Changes your whole view, doesn't it?

Cut down the training scope to fix made-up facts. @the_seth sees how these issues get complicated fast. Adding fact checks is what makes the tool trustworthy.
