Had to retrain an AI model 7 times because of bad training data

I was building a custom chatbot for my landscaping business using an open source model, thinking it would save me hours on customer calls. Turns out I spent three weeks just cleaning up duplicates and typos in my FAQs because the model kept giving wrong answers about pricing. Has anyone else found that prepping the data takes way longer than actually running the model?

Haha, so the AI just becomes a faster way to find your typos, right?

Last week I spent 20 minutes trying to figure out why my email subject line had "teh" instead of "the" and I swear my brain just refused to see it. But then I threw it into an AI checker and it caught it in half a second... makes you wonder how many little mistakes we're just walking past every day. It's like how people didn't notice crooked picture frames until someone put a level app on their phone. Now we've got a tool that spots the stuff our own eyes skip over, for better or worse.

Keith, I've definitely been there and it is humbling every single time.
