My AI assistant tried to order 37 pizzas to my office in Austin

I was testing a new voice command integration with a food delivery API last Thursday, and my custom home assistant misheard 'please order a pizza' as 'please order thirty-seven pizzas'. The delivery guy showed up with a stack of boxes taller than he was, and my whole team had free lunch for three days. Has anyone else's project testing gone this hilariously off the rails?

Okay, but what did you do with the delivery guy? In my experience, those apps charge a fortune for big orders and the drivers get stuck with the fallout if you refuse it. Did you end up paying for all of them, or were you able to send most back? I'd be worried about getting a huge bill and a bad rating from the restaurant.

Called support and they canceled the whole thing, so the driver just left with the food.

Ugh, that's the worst. Had a driver just abandon a huge pizza order on my porch once after a cancel. @finley_price24 is right about the drivers getting stuck, but the app still charged me a full "service fee" even with no food. Took three calls to get it back.
