Tried to get an AI to write a haiku about my cat for 3 hours

Honestly, I was messing around with a new text generator called VerseBot and wanted a simple 5-7-5 about my cat, Mittens. Ngl, it kept giving me stuff about 'feline data streams' and 'pixelated purrs' instead of just a normal poem. Took me until 2 AM to finally tweak the prompt enough to get something that actually rhymed. Has anyone else had an AI completely overcomplicate a super simple request?

Was it one of those ones that tries to be too creative? My friend asked an AI for a birthday card message for his mom. It gave him a three paragraph epic about maternal constellations and the cosmic womb. He just wanted "Happy Birthday, love you." Took him forever to get it to write something a normal person would actually say.

Maternal constellations and the cosmic womb" is a wild way to avoid saying "you're a great mom." Sounds like the AI was trying to write a weird nature documentary instead of a birthday card. Your friend basically had to argue with a robot to get it to act normal.
