Unpopular opinion: prompt engineering didn't get better, the models just got smarter
I was digging through my old prompt files from 2023 and the stuff I wrote back then looks like a legal contract compared to what I type now. Same tasks, but my prompts have shrunk by like 70% over two years because the models picked up the slack on their own. Anyone else notice their old prompt library is basically useless now?
