Appreciation post: I finally figured out my frozen fries
They kept coming out soggy no matter what temp I tried, and it took me three whole batches to get it right. Turns out you need to shake the basket every 4 minutes, not just once halfway through. Anyone have a trick for getting frozen onion rings crispy?

I read somewhere that onion rings need a hotter oil temp than fries.

Yeah, the "serious dedication" was mostly just stubbornness. I refused to let some potatoes win. The shaking method was my last ditch effort before admitting defeat.
