My air fryer basket shattered when I dropped it on the tile floor last Tuesday
I was pulling out some crispy chicken wings and the whole basket slipped right out of my hand... exploded into like a dozen pieces. Ended up eating burnt wings off a paper towel while I ordered a replacement basket on my phone. Has anyone else had one of those non-stick coatings just give up like that?

Dropped mine twice from counter height onto linoleum and it bounced. Tile is brutal though, that stuff breaks everything. The non-stick coating thing is kind of overblown honestly. People act like it's this huge tragedy when a cheap kitchen gadget breaks. It's like $30 for a new basket on Amazon. Eat the burnt wings, order the part, move on with your life. Last week someone posted about a cracked screen on their microwave and people acted like they lost a family member. It's just stuff.

@laura_allen reminds me when my toaster caught fire and my roommate cried more than when her cat died.

You make a good point about stuff being replaceable, but I gotta disagree a bit. That toaster fire thing hits different when you actually see flames shooting out of your kitchen counter. It's not about the toaster's value, it's the scary moment when you realize how fast things can go wrong. People get attached to their stuff for different reasons too. Maybe that toaster was a gift from someone special or the first thing they bought for their first apartment. And honestly, crying over a burnt microwave or a cracked screen isn't always about the item itself. Sometimes it's just the last straw on a bad day and that little thing breaks you. We all get weird about different things, that's just human nature.
