My buddy had the same thing happen at a drive-thru. The worker leaned out and told him to shake the bag for like a full minute, said the fries were still steaming inside the box. He tried it and they were perfect, totally crispy.

Ugh, that soggy fry feeling is the worst. I've been there, staring at a sad, limp box of takeout. It feels like such a waste. Your neighbor is a real one for sharing that tip, honestly. What else do you wish fast food places would just tell us?
