PSA: That air fryer parchment paper almost caught my kitchen on fire

My cousin Jenna called me last night freaking out because she used cheap parchment paper in her air fryer and the fan pulled it up into the heating element. She said it started smoking real bad and she had to unplug the whole thing. Has anyone else had this happen or am I the only one who didn't know most parchment paper isn't safe for air fryers?

Yeah @abbyg60 is right, I had the same thing happen with cheap parchment and it scared me half to death.

Get the proper air fryer liners instead, way safer.

Bought a pack of silicone liners off Amazon last month. Night and day difference from trying to use parchment or foil. No smoke, no sticking, and cleanup takes like 20 seconds.
