Question about those frozen french fry bags for air fryers
I bought a 5 pound bag of those special 'air fryer' fries last week, cost me almost $8... they came out soggy and tasted like cardboard. My regular store brand fries in the normal freezer section work way better and are half the price. Has anyone else had this happen, or did I just get a bad batch?

Man, why do they even make those special bags? I fell for the same thing last month, spent like ten bucks on some fancy crinkle cuts that came out totally limp. I swear my regular cheap fries get way crispier, it's like they're selling us a worse product and calling it an upgrade lol. I'm starting to think the "air fryer" label is just a trick to charge more.

That's a good point from @jamesm38 about the label just being a trick. What brand did you even buy? I'm trying to figure out if there's a real difference in how they coat them or if it's all just the same potato.

Ugh, tell me about it... I grabbed a bag of "air fryer ready" waffle fries that promised "extra crisp." They came out like soggy cardboard grids. My old bag of store brand fries, the normal kind, gets perfect every single time. It's like they took the same sad potato, put a fancy sticker on it, and upped the price by three bucks. The only thing getting fried here is us.
