Showerthought: My old air fryer basket finally gave out after 4 years of near daily use
The nonstick coating started flaking off last Tuesday mid-cook on some chicken wings, little black bits everywhere. Had to toss the whole batch and order a replacement basket off Amazon, has anyone else had their basket fail on them like that?

Bro 48 wings down the drain last Tuesday when mine did the exact same thing. I was about to take a bite and noticed these little black specks all over the buffalo sauce - looked like the basket was shedding its skin like a lizard or something. Been using parchment paper liners ever since the new one showed up, feels like overkill but I'm not risking another $30 wing massacre.

$30 for 48 wings? That stings almost as bad as losing them. I don't blame you for going the parchment route, I'd do the same thing after watching that much good food go in the trash. What is it with these baskets shedding metal flakes like some kind of rusty monster? Makes you wonder if they even test these things before selling them.
