Thought air fryer eggs were a joke until I tried them in my Reno apartment
My sister kept telling me to cook eggs in the air fryer and I figured they would come out rubbery or weird. Last Tuesday I finally tried it in a small ramekin at 350 for about 9 minutes since my stove was buried under dishes. They came out soft and the cleanup was just one little dish instead of a pan. Now I want to know what else I've been skipping. Does anyone have a trick for getting the yolk right every time?
How big is your ramekin though? That's the thing nobody mentions. A little 4oz one is gonna cook way faster than the wider 8oz kind, so 9 minutes could be perfect in one and total rubber in the other. @charlier34 are you pulling them when the whites are just set but the yolk still jiggles, or going full solid? That timing window is honestly like 60 seconds before they turn to hockey pucks.
