Vent: hit 100 air fryer meals in 6 months and now I'm torn on whether that's a good thing
I started keeping a tally on my fridge in January and just put up the 100th mark, which means I've made about 4 air fryer meals a week since then. Half of me thinks this is great, I've saved money on takeout and my chicken wings come out better than the bar down the street. The other half wonders if I'm stuck in a rut, since like 60 of those were just variations on the same three recipes. My wife says I should branch out, but reheating leftovers in 4 minutes still feels like a magic trick. Anyone else track their cooking like this, and did hitting a number make you change things up or double down?
I heard a guy on a podcast say he did something like this with his Instant Pot and around meal 80 he started picking one new recipe a week just to break the loop. Kept his old standbys but added a wildcard day, and by meal 150 he had like 20 recipes in rotation instead of 4. The number itself isn't the problem, it just shows you found something that works. Three recipes you can nail beats ten you're still figuring out, but adding a new one every couple weeks might scratch that itch your wife is talking about.
