A homeowner in Tacoma insisted I hide all the sensors, even the motion one.
He wanted the motion detector tucked behind a bookshelf, saying it ruined the room's look. I explained it would miss half the room and be useless, but he wouldn't budge. Ever had a client fight you on basic placement like that?

I used to fight them on it, but now I just take their money and let the false alarms teach the lesson.

Had a guy demand I put a door sensor on the inside of his cabinet door. Makes you wonder what they think they're paying for.

Dealt with a guy who wanted his keypad painted to match the wallpaper. He was mad the beep was too loud, too. Like @shanem37's cabinet guy, they think we're interior decorators who also stop crime. I had a lady ask if the glass break sensor could go in the linen closet because the sound would "find its way in there." You just have to nod and explain the physics of sound waves for the tenth time.
