Blew $180 on a cellular backup module that got me nothing but a callback
I used to swear every panel needed one, then a client in Tulsa lost cell signal during a storm last month and the thing sat useless while their wifi still worked fine. Now I run a cheap wifi bridge first and only add cellular if they truly have no internet, because $180 for a maybe is rough when the job barely pays $400. Anyone else stopped defaulting to cellular on every install?

Heard a tech on a podcast say cell modules are mostly a sales gimmick now anyway.
