Dealing with a stubborn Garage Door sensor that keeps shifting

Last week I installed a system for a client in Aurora, and that Garage Door tilt sensor kept sliding out of position on the metal bracket. Has anyone found a reliable adhesive or mounting trick that holds up better than the double-sided tape?

I actually think that's a FEATURE not a bug. If it slides around, you're forced to check the alignment more often, which means fewer false alarms from seasonal expansion or vibration shifts.

Ask him how often he's actually going back to check the alignment after install. Because in my experience clients never touch the sensor again once it's mounted. That sliding around just means a false alarm call a few weeks later.
