Had to choose between a wired or wireless retrofit for a 1920s brick house
I was working on a big old brick house in Springfield last week, and the owner wanted a full system but didn't want visible wires. I had to choose between fishing wire through the solid brick walls, which I quoted at 12 hours of labor, or using a high-end wireless system. I went with the wireless option to save the walls and my timeline. The install took 3 days and the signal strength has been perfect so far. Has anyone else done a major retrofit in an old building and faced a similar choice? What was your deciding factor?

What brand of wireless system did you end up using?

Honestly, did you look into the Shure GLX-D series at all? Tbh I found their setup way simpler than some of the other brands out there.

My old Samson rack unit took me like an hour to get working the first time. I totally wrote off digital systems as being too complicated before trying a GLX-D. Plugging in the receiver and having the transmitter auto-sync in under ten seconds was a total game changer for me. It completely changed my mind about what "easy setup" could actually mean.
