Overheard a dispatcher say something that stuck with me all week
Sitting in the waiting room at the supply house in Dayton, I caught two dispatchers talking about how a homeowner's panic button saved a cat but also caused three false alarms that month. One said, 'We don't sell buttons, we sell peace of mind, but only if the wiring stays clean.' That got me thinking about how I run my own installs. I started double-checking every zone's resistor placement after that, even on jobs where I was sure it was right. Has anyone else had a customer treat a panic button like a toy, and how do you handle that without being a jerk?
