PSA: That new wireless panel had a factory defect I almost missed

Had a call with a supplier in Chicago last Thursday who told me their latest batch of wireless panels have a known firmware bug that kills the backup battery after 48 hours. I checked three panels on my truck and sure enough two had the issue already draining power before I even installed them. Anyone else run into hidden factory defects that slipped past QC?

Did you ever get one of those things where the manual said 'insert tab A into slot B' but tab A was actually a completely different shape? I had a bookshelf like that once, just stared at the pieces for an hour.

Honestly, sounds like the real defect is their firmware team not doing basic load testing before shipping.
