Rant: New construction in Phoenix left me pulling my hair out over rough-in inspections
Walked a 32-unit apartment job near Scottsdale last Friday and the GC had every zone wire dressed down the same stud with zip ties every 6 inches. Looks pretty, but when the drywall crew clipped one sensor loop, tracing that bundle took me 3 hours with a toned probe because nothing was labeled at the panel. Am I the only one who tells builders to leave service loops and tags on every run before they close up the walls?

Man, I feel this. I ran a 16 unit job last year and the sparky did the exact same thing. Clean bundle down one stud, zero tags, zero slack. Drywall crew nicked one wire and I spent a whole afternoon chasing it through the wall with a toner. I told the GC flat out, if you dont leave a loop and a label card on every run, I walk the job until it's fixed. They think pretty means done, but pretty is useless when you cant find anything. Tags and extra wire cost like 20 bucks a run, but they save hours of labor later. Its just laziness dressed up as neat work.
