Serious question, why do people still wire door contacts with 22 gauge when 18 gauge takes the same time and saves you a callback?

Switched to 18 gauge years ago and never looked back. The cost difference is pennies and you stop worrying about voltage drop on long runs to the far side of a house. Had a two story place where the upstairs contacts were reading flaky on a panel, turned out to be 22 gauge that got nicked during rough in. With 18 you can strip it without sneezing and losing half the strands. Also way easier to push through packed insulation when the sparky already ran his stuff first. Time saved on the pull alone pays for the wire.
