Shoutout to the old-timer who talked me through a panel swap today
I was swapping out a DSC panel at a retirement community in Phoenix and this 70 year old site manager just casually mentioned I should check the transformer rating before crimping. I've been doing this 6 years and never once thought about it, just assumed the old wiring was fine. Has anyone else had a random comment from a non-installer save you time?

Ha! My buddy had a homeowner tell him his meter was upside down.

@joel_butler that's gold right there. People really out here thinking meters got a right side up like a painting on the wall. Bet your buddy just stood there for a second trying to figure out if the guy was serious or just messing with him. I've heard some doozies from homeowners over the years but that one takes the cake. Almost as good as the lady who swore her power bill went up because the meter reader parked in her driveway too long.
