Vent: Panel firmware update zapped 4 call logs today

Updated a DSC panel this morning and it wiped the event history for all 4 accounts I was testing, which I only caught because my phone app logged the alarms I triggered. Has anyone else had a firmware push silently clear the local buffer on these things?

Yeah this is a known thing on the DSC panels when the firmware update hits, it clears the local buffer without any warning. Best habit is to pull the event history to a USB stick or your monitoring software before you even start the update, takes two minutes and saves you the headache. Also check your panel settings after the update cause some of them default back to logging only alarms, not all the door contacts and stuff.
