A heat gun and a wet rag pulled a dent out of a 2019 Civic that I was sure needed a new door skin
Customer brought in a shallow crease right on the body line and I almost ordered a skin until an old painter at the shop in Tulsa showed me the hot water trick last month. Has anyone else had luck on deeper dents, or does it only work on the soft stuff?

My buddy tried the heat and rag thing on a pretty deep dent in his Tacoma and it popped most of it but left a smaller crease he had to work with a spoon after. Heat can help the metal move back but deep stuff usually needs some love from the inside too, or the paint cracks on you. Worth a shot before ordering a skin though, worst case you're right back where you started.
