Can we talk about paint booth air filters and the cheap option?

I had to choose between the 30 dollar fiberglass filters and the 90 dollar pleated ones for our booth in Phoenix. Went cheap last month, overspray dust got through and ruined a clear coat job on a 2018 Tacoma. Anyone else seen the pleated ones last longer or is it a wash?
