Checked out that new auto body shop in Fresno... yikes

I stopped by Precision Collision on Cedar Ave last Tuesday just to see how they set things up. They had a guy using a 36 grit disc on a plastic bumper, grinding right through to the metal like it was nothing. The shop manager just shrugged when I asked about their plastic repair process. Has anyone else run into shops that still treat plastics like they're sheet metal?

That disc on plastic is just lazy work right there. Real shops know different materials need different tools and techniques. Fresno seems to have a few places that missed that memo.

Man, my friend saw a guy in Modesto grind down a carbon fiber hood like it was drywall.

My buddy watched a shop in Bakersfield weld a plastic bumper cover like it was steel.
