Gave up on the stud welder for rocker panels and went back to a MIG with .023 wire, no regrets
The stud welder kept pulling craters out of thin aftermarket rockers on a 2011 Silverado last month and I burned 2 hours fixing my own mess. A backing copper and short tacks gave me cleaner pulls with way less heat warp, anyone else ditch the stud gun on panels under 20 gauge?
