500 bumpers in a week" - dang, you must be either really good at your job or really bad at finding other things to do (or both, honestly). At this rate you're gonna single-handedly fix every dented car in a 50 mile radius. I'm picturing you in a warehouse somewhere with a giant tally mark on the wall like some kind of bumper repair prisoner. Do you at least get a gold star or a pizza party when you hit 1000? Because if not, I'm starting a petition for you. For real though, that's a lot of bumpers, hope your arms aren't falling off.

Had a buddy who did something similar back in college, except it was flipping old cell phones instead of bumpers. He got so obsessed with hitting a thousand that his girlfriend threatened to move out if he didn't stop counting them in his sleep.

Man, "counting them in his sleep" hits different. That's when you know a hobby's turned into a full-blown obsession, you know? Hope your buddy's girlfriend stuck around and he got his thousand, that's a rough spot to be in.
