I finally had a week where every single repair came in under estimate last month
Had 5 cars in a row down in Gainesville that only needed minor stuff like a dent pull and a blend, no hidden rust or frame damage. First time in 5 years I didn't have to call a customer with bad news. Anybody else ever hit a lucky streak like that or am I the only one?

Honestly, five cars in a row with no surprises sounds almost too good to be true. Tbh that kind of luck usually means the next ten are gonna be rust buckets and wiring nightmares to balance things out. Ngl enjoy it while it lasts.

Man that's just jinxing yourself into a bad streak. I always figure every tenth car has to be a total nightmare to keep the universe balanced. You found five good ones in a row, you're basically living on borrowed time now. My last streak was three solid beaters before I got stuck with a truck that had more bondo than metal. Hope your luck holds out longer than mine did. How many miles you putting on each one before you flip 'em?

It's like that law of averages thing people talk about. You get a few good breaks in a row and suddenly you're waiting for the floor to fall out. I've noticed it with everything, not just cars. Dating, jobs, even finding a good parking spot. Three good things happen and my brain starts scanning for the disaster. But maybe luck isn't a bank account you gotta pay back. Maybe it's just random and we're making up patterns that aren't there. Still doesn't stop me from holding my breath though. Your luck might hold out longer if you just stop looking for the catch.
