Totally get that feeling of being converted. A good touch-up pen is a game changer for small fixes. It makes a huge difference without a full paint job.

What brand did you end up using? I was like @williamm82 for years, but the Dupli-Color pens with the brush tip actually worked on my '78 Ford's faded paint. The key was cleaning the chip with alcohol first and doing a few really thin layers.
