Just discovered a stat about paint booth airflow that blew my mind
I was reading through some old technical bulletins from a paint manufacturer I found in a cabinet (don't ask why they were there, previous owner left them). Turns out that if your booth airflow drops below 100 feet per minute across the panel, your clear coat can trap solvent about 40% more often. I had been fighting with occasional blushing and softness for like a year on certain jobs. Checked my booth filters and sure enough, the pre-filters were completely clogged and I hadn't swapped them in six months. Anyone else ever get caught off guard by something so basic before?

Man that kind of stuff is everywhere once you start paying attention, half the problems in life are just neglected basics like that lol.

Always the simple, unglamorous stuff that gets ignored (and then snowballs into a mess). It's funny how much of life is just catching those little things before they turn into a big headache, @robert_lopez64.
