Tried a European body filler vs the regular stuff and wow what a difference

I've been using the same cheap body filler from the auto parts store for like 8 years. Last month my buddy who works at a collision shop in Atlanta talked me into trying a European brand called Rage Gold. Man, it spreads so much smoother and hardly any pinholes. I did a quarter panel on a 2010 Civic and the sanding took me half the time it normally does. The hardener ratio is way more forgiving too, I messed up the mix a little and it still cured fine. Only downside is it costs about $15 more per gallon. Has anyone else tried a higher end filler and noticed a big difference in your daily work?

Oh man, I feel this so hard. Rage Gold is legit a game changer, I tried it last summer on a fender and was kicking myself for not switching sooner. The way it feathers out without those stupid pinholes is just so satisfying. Honestly, the extra $15 is worth it when you factor in how much less sandpaper and time you waste. Glad someone else gets it, that stuff really does make the job less of a headache.

Hell yeah. Rage Gold is solid. I used it once on my old F-150 tailgate after a buddy left me a tube. Made me realize I'd been fighting with cheap stuff for years. Now I'm too cheap to buy it regular though, just gotta borrow it from friends haha.
