Tried a new clear coat on a 2008 Silverado in Boise and it went sideways

We had this old Chevy truck come in with faded paint, and I figured I'd try that new 2K spray can clear from the parts store to save time. Laid it down in the booth, and the whole thing came out with this weird orange peel texture, like I'd sprayed it with a garden hose. Turns out the can was way too cold from sitting in our back room, and the propellant messed up the mix. Anyone else run into this with canned clears in cold weather?

Did you try warming the can first?

Warming it up is a good idea. I had a can that was stuck last week and running it under hot tap water for a minute did the trick. The metal seemed to expand just enough that the lid came right off with the opener.

but did you heat it up while the can opener was still stuck on there, or did you take it off first? i feel like if the lid popped open from the heat, that would be a lot easier than trying to wrestle a stuck opener off.
