Back when I'd re-record mixtapes with a pause button and a prayer
In high school I used to sit by the radio for hours with a blank cassette, hitting record and pause to catch songs without the DJ talking over them. Now I just throw together a Spotify playlist in like 5 minutes and it sounds perfect every time. Anyone else miss the thrill of actually nailing a perfect recording after like 10 tries?

It's wild how we used to fight through technical bs for things that are basically effortless now, like the whole experience of waiting and struggling was part of the reward. Makes you wonder if making things too easy actually steals that little dopamine hit from finally getting it right.

Oh man, totally. I remember spending three hours trying to dial up to the internet just to play a stupid browser game, and when it finally worked it felt like winning the lottery. Making things too easy definitely steals something from the experience, like you didn't earn it.
