Had to pick between a handshake or a fist bump with my new boss
We finished our first meeting and he went for a fist bump while my hand was already halfway to a handshake. I panicked and ended up doing this weird hybrid pat on his knuckles. Has anyone else completely botched a simple greeting like that?

Remember that awkward hug-handshake combo? I did that with my aunt at a funeral once.

Read an article calling it a "handshake vortex." Apparently it's super common and people remember their own awkwardness more than yours. Your boss has probably already forgotten the whole thing.
