My barber's 3-word question made me change how I talk to everyone

I was getting a trim downtown and this guy, probably 60, just asked "who are you?" out of nowhere. Not in a rude way, but like he could tell I was auto-piloting through life and it hit me harder than any lecture ever did. Has anyone else had a random stranger say something that just rewired your whole brain?
