Actually seeing the numbers laid out in a clear way. Charts and graphs made it impossible to ignore the real world impact. It went from being an abstract debate to a concrete problem with a clear cause. That visual proof forced a real shift in how I saw the whole issue. The data just told a story that words alone couldn't argue against.

My dad framed a dumb mistake I made as a kid as me being curious. He said I wasn't breaking the radio, I was trying to see how it worked. That stuck with me for years. It completely flipped how I remembered the whole panic of getting caught. Sometimes another person's take on your story can rewrite the memory itself. You stop seeing the shame and start seeing the person you were.
