Ngl, I thought it was a total gimmick but my buddy dared me to test it with my phone inside while he chucked it off the dock, and it came up dry, so now I'm telling everyone to grab one before your next beach trip, anyone else had a cheap thing surprisingly save their day?

Test the zipper seal before trusting it with anything expensive. Learned that the hard way.

Wait, does the zipper seal ever fail the other way and trap moisture inside? I had one that sealed fine but held in condensation from a cold drink. Ruined a camera lens that way. The seal worked, but the pressure change did the damage. So maybe test it empty and see if it puffs up or sweats after sitting in the sun. That's the real test for gear bags, not just leaks.
