The day my truck broke down and I actually got more done
Last Tuesday my work truck died at 7am in front of a client's house in Austin. Had to call a tow truck and wait 45 minutes while the homeowner watched from their window. Ended up walking to a nearby hardware store for parts and fixed a leaky faucet the guy had been complaining about for months. Got his roof quote done by noon and he signed it right there. Sometimes the worst mornings turn into your best days. Anybody else ever have a breakdown that worked out better than planned?

Tow trucks are basically free consultants with bad timing.

Three times now I've had a tow truck show up right when I was about to leave a parking spot on my own. It's like they have a sixth sense for bad timing or something. Have you ever had one just appear out of nowhere?

Oh man, that is such a perfect way to put it! My buddy Sara had this wild thing happen last winter. She was stuck in a snow bank for like 20 minutes, trying to dig herself out, and a tow truck just pulled up behind her. The driver hopped out and said "Need a hand?" without even asking if she called one. He got her out in like two minutes flat, gave her a little wave, and drove off before she could say thanks. She was so confused but also super grateful, since she was about to call for help anyway. It was like a parking lot guardian angel with a winch!
