Thought I was too cool for meal prepping, now I swear by it
I used to think meal prepping was for super organized people who had their life together way more than me. But after 3 straight weeks of spending $60+ on takeout lunches because I kept forgetting to pack something, I gave it a real try last Sunday. Spent 2 hours making 5 containers of chicken and rice with veggies, and honestly it saved me so much time and money. The biggest surprise was that the food actually tasted better reheated than fresh, especially the rice. Now I can't imagine going back to that frantic lunch scramble every day. Has anyone else found a specific meal that freezes or reheats way better than you'd expect?

The first time I meal prepped, I used those cheap plastic containers from the grocery store and honestly thought I'd hate it. I used to roll my eyes at people posting their Sunday prep photos on Instagram (you know the ones with the perfect rows of containers). But after a week where I ate microwave burritos four days in a row for lunch, I caved and tried it. That chicken and rice actually got better by day three, the flavors just melded together somehow. Now I'm the guy with a whole drawer in the work fridge full of labeled containers, and I don't even care how dorky it looks.

@kelly_craig I get that it saves money and time, but I just can't get past the texture issue. Day three chicken always turns rubbery no matter how you store it. I'd rather eat a sad burrito than dry reheated meat.
