Tried that new ramen spot downtown and got more awkward silence than flavor

I went to Broth Lab last Friday cause everyone's been hyping it up, and the whole place was dead quiet except for slurping noises lol. The waiter kept staring at me while I ate like he was waiting for a review, and I ended up just nodding at my bowl for 5 minutes straight. Has anyone else had a meal where the vibe made you forget if the food was even good?

Maybe just look for one with that "quiet please" sign, they're out there.
