Overheard a kid at the coffee shop tell his mom 'at least I tried' after spilling his hot chocolate everywhere and it kind of stuck with me
So I'm sitting at this little place downtown, waiting on my latte, and this kid maybe 7 or 8 years old is carrying his hot chocolate back to the table. He trips on someone's backpack and the whole cup goes flying, splashing all over the floor and his shoes. The mom looks annoyed, starts grabbing napkins, but the kid just shrugs and says that line. No crying, no tantrum. Just moved on. I've been thinking about that all day cause I had a rough morning where my car wouldn't start and then I forgot my lunch. That kid's attitude is honestly better than mine. How do you guys bounce back when a small thing just snowballs into a whole bad day?
