I've noticed more and more people in this group call them 'bad days' when it's really just one single bad hour that ruined the rest.
Had a Tuesday where I spilled coffee on my white shirt at 8am and then told myself the whole day was a loss, but by noon I'd fixed a mistake at work that saved my team 3 hours of rework, so really that spilled coffee didn't own my whole day, right? Anyone else catch themselves labeling a whole day 'ruined' because of one dumb thing that happened early?

So what's the difference between having a bad hour and just letting that one hour steal the whole day? If you're already at work and people are counting on you, how do you decide if it's time to call it or just push through and see if things turn around? I've had mornings where I tripped over my own boots at 6am and still ended up with a solid day, so I'm genuinely curious where you draw that line.

Argue that one bad hour does justify writing off the whole day.

Nah, toss the whole day. One bad hour can wreck your mood and mess up whatever comes after. I've had mornings that went south and the rest of the day just felt like I was playing catch up. Sometimes you gotta just call it and start fresh tomorrow.
