Just found out my beagle sleeps 18 hours a day and I felt like a bad dog mom
So I was googling weird stuff at 11pm on Tuesday and found out adult dogs sleep 12 to 14 hours a day on average, and some breeds like beagles can hit 18. I always thought my dog Cooper was just lazy because he naps all through my work from home shift and then sleeps again at night. I actually called my vet in Columbus to ask if something was wrong, and she laughed and said he is totally fine, that scent hounds especially are pro nappers. I felt kinda dumb for worrying but also way better. Now I am curious if anyone else panicked over something normal their pet does, like drinking weird or staring at walls.
